FBMSA for IMGs
FBMSA advocates Australian government, Medical Boards, AHPRA, AMA for International Medical Graduates (IMG) from Bangladesh. FBMSA plays leading role to liaise with other organisations of Doctors from Iraq, India, Pakistan to represent a combined strong voice. As a Federal body, FBMSA coordinates to share educational activities of different states and Territory Bangladesh Medical Societies using online media to help all Bangladeshi IMGs in Australia. In 2023, special series of Webinars on Paediatrics organised by FBMSA, are keeping AMC candidates in mind. Annual convention and Scientific meeting of FBMSA that take place in different states each year create a rich environment of networking, socialising and knowledge exchange for doctors of all stages in their careers.
FBMSA for General Practitioners
General practitioners are the highest numbers of Bangladeshi Doctors in Australia. FBMSA organises regular Webinars that are not only helpful for up to date knowledge but also accredited for CPD points. Typically in Webinars and Scientific meeting, a panel is selected carefully to represent a mix of General Practitioners and Specialists who are from different states and territories. In 2022 FBMSA has delivered a series of Webinars specially for primary care physicians on Cardiology, Nephrology and Gastroenterology. In near future FBMSA has plan to organise inter states shared educational activities for GP registrars. FBMSA has applied for recognition of Australian General practice post graduate qualification to BMDC (Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council) and regularly lobbying for cooperation between Australia and Bangladesh health system.
FBMSA for All
FBMSA has established close relationship with BCPS (Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons), leading medical educators, medical education and health policy makers of Bangladesh. There is natural shared values and respects for each other. More and more representatives of FBMSA are invited and attend official meetings, seminars, conferences organised by Bangladeshi counter parts. FBMSA has invited two distinguished guests from Bangladesh in last annual convention in Adelaide who shared excellent first hand experience of management of Covid-19 in Bangladesh, present and future of Medical education in Bangladesh. FBMSA will continue to exchange ideas, experiences and knowledge that will help people of Bangladesh.
